I have never used a service like this. Exactly what is ProTech
Child Care Solutions?
A:
ProTech is a delinquent sponsor tracking and recovery system
designed to enable child care providers to AVOID, TRACK, RECOVER,
and CONTROL expenses related to unpaid child care services such as:
- Non-payment for services
rendered;
- Departures without giving
required notice - creating costly unexpected vacancies;
- Bounced checks, resulting in
costly bank charges, administrative handling hassles, time value
of money, cash flow constraints and collection processing; and;
- Failure to pay regulatory
required parent co-payment fees.

Why use ProTech and not other credit reporting companies such as
Equifax and TransUnion?
A:
ProTech only business is the daycare industry, and we specialize in
getting the most participation from daycare centers one community at
a time. We're not like national reporting services like Equifax and

How does ProTech collect delinquent accounts?

ProTech refers any accounts that have been authorized for
collections turn-over to our professional collection partner(s) who
specialize in the daycare industry. |

How much does it cost to join Pro Tech?

Unlimited online access to ProTech costs only $25 per month on an
annual contract. Renewal membership will be quoted to you on an
annual basis. |

In addition to the $25 monthly access fee, are there other costs
associated with using ProTech?
A:
Your monthly fee gives you complete on-line access to the ProTech
Child Care System. If additional services are requested, Pro Tech
will quote them to you on an as needed basis, and you make the
decision about proceeding with other services. |

Can I report on "problem parents" who don't owe any
daycare money?
A:
No, we do not accept this kind of information because it is
considered slander and is not legal. |

Q:
Do I have to notify my sponsors about using ProTech?
A:
No, you do not need to tell your sponsors that you are using
ProTech. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, if you
request returns negative information about that person and you
decide not to provide care for that person's child, you must tell
that applicant that the information used to make that decision came
from ProTech. Give them the contact phone information so they can
contact ProTech for a copy of the report. |

Where does the information for your database come from?
A:
The information is reported to ProTech by daycare providers in your
community just like yourself. The data is continually updated for
member use. |

Is this service legal?
A:
Yes, this is perfectly legal. ProTech is in compliance with the Fair
Credit Reporting Act and has a team of legal advisors who keep the
company updated on any changes in state and federal laws. |

How often can I access my ProTech account?
A:
There is no limit to the number of times that you access your
ProTech account. Plus you can access the information from anywhere
and at any time you choose - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; 365 days
a year. |
